A St Joseph teenager is dead and her passenger is in the hospital after a one car crash in south St Joseph early Sunday morning.

Sgt Richard Ketchum of the Traffic Unit at the St Joseph Police Department says a westbound vehicle went out of control in the 3500 block of Easton Road just before 2am.

Ketchum says the driver, Madison Walker, 18, was killed, and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The St Joseph Fire Department was called in to extricate the passenger. Kali Jones, 23, was taken to Heartland Regional Medical Center where she was in serious condition Monday.
