Norma Wilton Fattig, 92, St. Joseph, Missouri died Sunday, June 9, 2013 at a local healthcare facility. She was born January 7, 1921 to Soren and Goldie Lucille (Frost) Svendgaard in Lincoln, Nebraska. She married Kermit Arthur Fattig on August 26, 1940. He preceded her in death on July 7, 2002. Norma worked as a factory worker for Noma Lights and later as a lab technician for Anchor-Serum. Mrs. Fattig was a member of Frederick Boulevard Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Randall Eugene Fattig; grandson, Daniel Patrick Fattig; and several brothers and sisters. Survivors: son, Kermit Fattig and wife Valerie, their daughter Sydney of St. Joseph; daughter, Lynda Blevins of Independence, Missouri; grandson, John Fattig of Kansas City, Missouri; cousins, Lois Smith, Blanchard of Oklahoma and Anna Marie Travelstead and husband Bobby of Bothel, Washington; niece, Sandra Beihl of Bonita Springs, Florida; and nephew, Jack Frost of St. Joseph. Donald N. “Sonny” Silcott, 81, St. Joseph, Missouri passed from this life Saturday, June 8, 2013 at his home. Don was born June 16, 1931 in St. Joseph. He was a graduate of Lafayette High School and of Northwest Missouri State University. Don married Clara Lee DeVault in 1961. She survives of the home. He was a Christian and a member of Frederick Boulevard Baptist Church. He also served in the United States Army. He began his career as a Computer Systems Analyst/Consultant with IBM in Los Angeles. After returning to Missouri, he did contract work and was employed with Bendix Corporation, Kansas City. He retired as Vice-President of Technical Resources Corporation, Kansas City. He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd M. and Edith (Williams) Silcott; and brother, Alfred D. Silcott. Survivors: wife; daughter, Christine Kelly (Bill); three grandchildren, Tyler, Blake, and Joshua Kelly; two brothers, Floyd M. Silcott, Jr., St. Joseph, Missouri and Darold G.
