St. Joseph resident Joseph D. Turner was a big winner in tonight’s Royals game against the Tampa Bay Rays.  During the sixth inning (known as the Sonic Slam Inning), Royals infielder Elliot Johnson launched a 3 run homer into the stands against his former team.  That swing of the bag was worth $2800 for Joseph, who was the evening’s Sonic Slam contestant.

The Royals went on to win the game by a final score of 10-1.
