Stanley E. “Gene” Ruoff
1937-2013

Stanley E. “Gene” Ruoff, 75, St. Joseph, Missouri born November 3, 1937 went to be with his heavenly father on June 24, 2013.
Gene married Janice Blodgett in Union Star on November 23, 1958. She survived of the home.
He spent his life in the Union Star area where he farmed and worked at the Union Star Elevator. After retirement Gene farmed with his son in Chillicothe.
Gene was a member of the former Union Star Christian Church and was currently a member of Central Christian Church in St. Joseph.
Gene enjoyed driving his Case in tractor cruises and watching the Mean Green Pulling Team with his sons and grandsons.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Helen (Barton) Ruoff.
Survivors: Children, Terry (Carla) Ruoff, St. Joseph, Chris (Brenda) Ruoff, Chillicothe, Stephanie Ruoff, St. Joseph and Kathleen (Marco) Rangel, Kansas City; grandchildren, Adam (Alena), Cody, Connor, Colby and Christina Rangel; one great-granddaughter, Rylin Ruoff; siblings, Allan, Rick, Randy, Jeanette, Wanda, Sandy and their families.
Services: 10:00 A.M. Thursday, Central Christian Church. Interment Union Star Cemetery, Union Star, Missouri. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory, where friends may call after 5:00 P.M. Wednesday. Mr. Ruoff will be removed from Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory to arrive at the church one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers please make donations to St. Luke’s Heart Transplant Program or Midwest Transplant Network. He was patient 289 to receive a heart transplant at St. Lukes.
