A trucker who fell asleep at the wheel slammed his semi into another vehicle, sending the other driver to the hospital with serious injuries.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says both vehicles were southbound on I-35 in Cameron at 5:20 am Wednesday.
According to a crash report, the truck driver, Randall Wooden, 49, of Parkville, fell asleep and his truck hit a Cadillac from the rear.
The Cadillac left the highway, hit a tree and overturned.
The other driver, 85-year-old Edith Smith of Stewartsville, was transported to Liberty Hospital with serious injuries.
