The Missouri Western Board of Governors has approved a $51 million general operating budget for Fiscal Year 2013-14. Total spending is up slightly from the current budget of approximately $48.5 million. The new budget includes a 3 percent salary increase for faculty and staff. It also fills vacant positions.

Western will increase spending on scholarships by 10 percent. Revenue from tuition and fees will be about the same as this year at $29.5 million. The new fiscal year begins July 1.
