Collision Between Trucks Closes I-29 For More Than 3 Hours

A fiery collision between two semi tractor trailers closed I 29 near Faucett for three and a half hours Friday afternoon.  The Highway Patrol says the accident happened at 2:25 pm when a semi driven by 35 year old Marvin Rucker of Sibley, Missouri,  ran into the back of a semi driven by 41 year old James White of Brighton, Illinois.  Rucker’s truck jacknifed, came to a stop, and caught fire.  No injuries were reported. Officials blocked the southbound lanes, causing  miles-long backup, while the wreck was investigated and cleared away.  Traffic in the northbound lanes slowed to a crawl as tow trucks worked the scene and drivers slowed to look at the wreck.
