A 16-year-old girl from St Clair, Missouri was hospitalized Thursday after a crash on I-29 south of St Joseph. The Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report says Josie Ejchler was driving northbound in a Ford pickup pulling a box trailer when a tire became disabled.

She lost control of the vehicle, which left the right side of the highway and hit an embankment. The trailer detached and overturned.

Ejchler was transported by ambulance to Heartland Regional Medical Center with what were described at the scene as moderate injuries.

Two other occupants were not hurt. They were identified as Stanley Ejchler, 36, and Rhonda Wright, 46, both of St Clair.

The accident happened about six miles south of St Joseph at 1:25 pm Thursday.
