Divers found a Kansas woman’s body inside a car that apparently drove off a southern Johnson County bridge.

The vehicle was discovered Sunday in the Blue River Sunday along US-69 one mile south of 167th Street in Overland Park. The car was upside down in the water.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says the Volkswagen Passat struck a guardrail, went over the railing, and came to rest on its top in the river.

Authorities are not sure when the accident happened.

A crash report identifies the victim as 20-year-old Anousha Ann Shirazi of Fairway, Kansas.
