A 12-year-old Jamesport boy was seriously hurt after a farm accident in Daviess County Monday afternoon.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says young David Rinehart was standing on a tractor that was pulling a hay rake in a farm field one mile south of Jamesport. The tractor hit a bump, Rinehart fell off, and was run over by the left rear tire of the tractor.

The tractor was driven by the victim’s brother, Jamin Rinehart, 14.

Rinehart was flown by air ambulance to Children’s Mercy Hospital with serious injuries.
