Livingston County Sheriff Steve Cox says his office responded to an unusual call near Utica Sunday.

Cox says the resident did the right thing calling authorities.

Deputies found a sleeping bag apparently concealing bones.

Further investigation by sheriff’s officer personnel and the County Coroner determined that they were animal bones.
