A fiery crash in Caldwell County this afternoon sent a Braymer, Missouri man to the hospital.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says Jerry Watson, 55, of Braymer, was hauling a boat with his pickup truck along US-36 when he changed lanes into the path of a semi.

Both vehicles careened off the highway and the semi burst into flames. The driver of the semi, Larry Hatfield, 61, also of Braymer, suffered moderate injuries and was transported to the Cameron Regional Medical Center. Watson was not hurt.

The semi was destroyed in the crash and fire.

The accident happened one mile south of Breckenridge, Missouri at 1 p.m. Wednesday.
