The Platte County Sheriff’s Office reports another rolling drug bust along I-29.
In a news release, Sergeant Jerin Almond says deputies stopped a vehicle along I-29 near Mexico City Avenue on July 9. Almond says the vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation, but after a consent search a police dog located 11 pounds of marijuana and hashish.
The driver, Christopher Dickman, 27, and a passenger, Eric Grimes, 36, both of Kansas City, Missouri, were arrested and charged with distribution of a controlled substance.
Dickman and Grimes are in custody at the Platte County Detention Center with a $25,000 bond for each. The approximate value of the recovered drugs was $35,000.
