Rita Alexander
1940-2013

Rita Alexander, 72, St. Joseph, Missouri died Friday, July 12, 2013 at Heartland Regional Medical Center.
She was born October 4, 1940 to Magnus John and Susan (Birosh) Albers in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Rita attended Patrick Henry High School in Minneapolis.
She married Duane A. Alexander on July 11, 1959. He survives of the home.
She worked at Alice?s Energy Connection in the day care where she loved taking care of the kids, and the kids loved her.
Rita lived for Friday hair salon days and her many friends at McCarthy Baptist Church. She was always on the go and loved her time with her family and was very happy to live to see her great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Patricia Barron.
Survivors: husband, Duane Alexander, of the home; daughters, Kimberly Wilcoxson (Rickie), Clarksdale, Missouri, Deborah Alexander, Cosby, Missouri and Sherrie Alexander, Gower, Missouri; sister, Verna Sullivan (Rex), Texas; two brothers, Roger Albers, Minnesota and Chuck Albers (Diane), Minnesota; one brother-in-law, Jerry Barron, Minnesota; one grandson, Joseph William Giles; one great-grandson, William Lee Giles; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation: The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Inurnment at a later date, Arlington National Cemetery.
