A traffic accident east of Maryville Sunday morning sent an 18-year-old woman to the hospital.
According to a crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Nicole Fox of Maryville lost control of her Ford Explorer along Route F at 4:40 a.m.
The vehicle left the east side of the roadway and went into a bean field. It then returned to the highway, crossed the centerline and left the west side of the highway. It hit a fence then travelled into a pasture and hit a hedge post.
Traffic investigators say the vehicle overturned, and Fox was partially ejected through the passenger front window. Her arm was pinned under the vehicle.
Officials say the accident was discovered about an hour and a half later by a passing motorist.
Fox was transported to St Francis Hospital with what were described at the scene as moderate injuries.
