The Jackson County Medical Examiner’s office has identified the body found last week as that of missing runner Chad Rogers.
Rogers was the subject of a massive search by police and volunteers, until his body was found in a portable bathroom at a road construction site in Liberty, Missouri.
Here’s the statement from the Liberty Police Department: “The Jackson County Medical Examiner’s office has positively identified the body found in south Liberty on Friday, July 26, as that of missing runner Chad Rogers. The Liberty Police Department’s investigation has revealed no signs of foul play, but the investigation will not conclude until the cause of death has been determined. The final determination of the cause of death will not be made until the autopsy is complete.”
Chad has been cremated under direction of Clark-Sampson Funeral Home. A Memorial Celebration of Life will be at 7:00 p.m. Friday, August 2, 2013 at Shoal Creek Community Church, 6816 S. Church Rd, Pleasant Valley, MO.
