A Missouri town is on edge after two large snakes escaped from a home in Crawford County.

Hesitant law officers and wildlife experts are helping with the search. They found two large snake skins, but not the boa constrictors they belonged to, and that has some residents feeling a little nervous.

A 10-foot female boa escaped three weeks ago, possibly from one of several open trailer windows.

The 9.5-foot male escaped Sunday night. The snakes are not venomous.

Searchers acknowledge they have their work cut out for them with crawl spaces underneath each mobile home in the neighborhood, and woods surrounding the park.

Most irksome to neighbors, and the park manager, was that fact that the owner never reported the snakes missing.
