A 33-year-old Newburg, Missouri man was killed in a one-crash in southeastern Kansas Tuesday night.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says Joseph Brant Martin was driving his Nixxan Maxima along a country road near Severy in Elk County at 8:18pm when he lost control on the gravel road. The vehicle went into the ditch, hit a tree and overturned, ejecting two of the three occupants.
Martin was killed. According to the crash report, 31-year-old Annette Michaela Shockley of Newburg was transported to a hospital in Eureka, Kansas with disabling injuries.
The other passenger, 35-year-old Justin Coats of Fredonia, Kansas, also suffered disabling injuries. He was flown to a hospital in Wichita for treatment.
