An Omaha man has been sentenced to probation after attacking an IRS agent with a front-end loader with a full load of dirt.
US Magistrate Thomas Thalken ordered 45-year-old Walter Trizila to serve three years probation following Trizila’s misdemeanor conviction for Assault, Resisting, or Impeding a Federal Officer.
US Attorney Deborah Gilg says says that Trizila encountered IRS officers at his place of employment on November 8th of last year.
They were attempting to seize a dump truck owned by Trizila’s boss.
Gilg says Trizila got into the front-end loader, scooped up a full load of dirt and then drove directly at the IRS officers, stopping just short. He then dumped the load at the officers’ feet, in front of the dump truck, blocking it in.
