St Joe Health Dept Offers Free Flu Vaccination Clinics

St Joseph Health Dept logoThe City of St. Joseph Health Department will hold its annual FREE flu vaccination clinic for Buchanan County residents from 9:00am – 1:00pm on Thursday, September 19, 2013 at four locations in St. Joseph.

The flu clinics will be conducted as walk-up vaccination clinics, and this year the St. Joseph Health Department will also offer Tdap vaccine at the flu clinic.

No services will be provided at the Health Department, 904 S 10th St, on the day of the flu clinic.

All services will resume to the normal schedule on Friday, September 20th. For more information, please call 271-4725.

• Apple Market, 903 N 36th Street, near Frederick and Belt Hwy
• Hyde Park Pool, 402 E. Hyde Park Ave.
• Krug Park Pool, 1405 Randolph St., near St. Joseph Ave. and Northwest Parkway
• St. Joseph Aquatic Center, 402 Noyes, near Noyes and Messanie south of Central High
School

Please wear shirts that provide easy access to the upper arm. Vaccine will be provided on a firstcome, first-serve basis until the supply is depleted. This clinic is open to Buchanan County
residents only, aged 18 and older, and who are not pregnant. Medicare or MO HealthNet patients
must bring their card and present it at the registration site.

This flu vaccine is designed to protect against three influenza viruses experts predict will be the
most common during the upcoming season. Three kinds of influenza viruses commonly circulate
among people today: influenza A (H1N1) viruses, influenza A (H3N2), and viruses influenza B
viruses.
