An Albany, Missouri man was killed in a one-vehicle traffic accident in Gentry County Friday morning.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report says Donald West, 57, lost control of his Kenworth along US 169 highway south of Stanberry at 7:25 am.
The truck crossed the center line and traveled off the east side of the roadway for about 400 feet before entering a cornfield. Then the truck traveled another 900 feet into the cornfield before coming to rest.
West was pronounced dead at the scene by the Gentry County Coroner.
Investigators say this is the 18th traffic-related fatality in Troop H this year.
