A Northeast Kansas farmer has given a half-ton of sweet corn to Second Harvest Community Food Bank in Saint Joseph. Ken McCauley of Doniphan County donated an acre of sweet corn from his farm near White Cloud. Second Harvest Marketing Director Stacey Fisher says people on a limited budget often skip healthy fruits and vegetables, so donations like McCauley’s help fill an important need.
