Arraignment is scheduled Friday for a 50-year-old St Joseph woman accused of misusing 911. Police responded to five emergency calls Monday night before they’d finally had enough and arrested Dorothy Steele and her husband, Rusty Steele.

Authorities say the couple were upset with some kids playing in the street in the 900 block of S. 11th, and didn’t approve of the way the police handled it.

Authorities did not file charges against Mr Steele. Mrs Steele was released pending arraignment Friday morning on the class-b misdemeanor charge.

Officials say the pair were intoxicated, and thought it was funny. The police aren’t laughing.
