Quite a few officers, a sergeant and a captain in the St Joseph Police Department were formally promoted Thursday.

In a ceremony at the Law Enforcement Center, Police Chief Chris Connally a slew of newly-promoted officers.

Captain Eric Protzman is now Commander Eric Protzman.
