A Chinese man whose nose was severely damaged in a traffic accident is growing a replacement nose on his forehead, with help from doctors in Fuzhou City in east China’s Fujon province. Surgeons plan to transplant the new nose to the normal position. They grew the replacement around cartilage from the patient’s ribs. It’s been growing for nine months and is almost ready to be moved. Surgeons say they expect to perform the first-ever procedure soon.
