Lucile S. Schneider
1912-2013
Lucile S. Schneider, 101, St. Joseph, Missouri passed away Thursday, October 3, 2013 at a local healthcare facility.
She was born on July 22, 1912 to Frank W. and Bertha (Stuber) Knadler in Easton, Missouri.
She graduated from Easton High School and Platte Gard Business College.
Lucile worked as a secretary at Western Tablet & Stationery Company for 10 years and at First Baptist Church for 20 years. After her retirement she volunteered at Hands of Hope Hospice for five years.
She was an active member of Zion United Church of Christ since 1936 and of the Ladies Edelweiss Society of Swiss Lodge.
On June 10, 1933, she married Preston L. Schneider, who preceded her in death May 9, 1992. She and her husband loved to travel and visited all fifty states, as well as all of the continents except Antarctica.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Ronda K. Chapman; sister, Erna Ford; and son, Gary G. Schneider.
Survivors: daughter-in-law, Enid Schneider, St. Joseph, Missouri; four grandchildren, Craig Schneider, Lisa Knoll (Karl), Kristine Chapman, and Jessica Zemler (Philip); and five great-grandchildren.
Services: 10:00 A.M. Monday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
