6 p.m. Thursday (AP) — The Kansas Bureau of Investigation has joined the search for a 35-year-old man suspected of killing two people and wounding a third in the southeastern part of the state.
The Greenwood County sheriff’s office has identified those killed in Wednesday night’s shootings as a 54-year-old man and a 52-year-old woman. A 26-year-old woman who was also shot was in stable condition Thursday at a Wichita hospital.
The shootings took place at a home in Eureka, about 60 miles east of Wichita.
Authorities say the suspect, Kevin R. Welsh, left in a Ford Explorer belonging to one of the victims. The vehicle was found abandoned Thursday in eastern Greenwood County.
Welsh is from the Woodson County town of Toronto, where officers searched a home Thursday without finding him.

Thirty-five year old Kevin Welsh is described at 6’ tall and 185 pounds. He is reportedly driving one of the victim’s 2007 Gold Ford Explorer with Kansas license plate 20AXY. Welsh is considered armed and dangerous. Call 911 if you know where he is or have seen him.
