Investigators say someone tried for the second time to start a fire at a Joplin Planned Parenthood clinic.
Friday night’s fire caused minor damage before a police officer was able to put out the blaze. During an earlier attempt on Wednesday, a fire did not start.
Security cameras caught someone in hooded sweatshirts or coats throwing bags on both nights.
In the Wednesday night incident, the suspect apparently failed to ignite the bag, which contained incendiary materials. Joplin police say that the suspect Friday night can be seen lighting the bag.
Investigators are currently unable to tell if the same person was involved in both incidents.
City, state and federal authorities are investigating the incidents.
