Gov. Jay Nixon will visit Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica Inc. in St. Joseph on Wednesday to discuss how the state’s newly redesigned workforce training programs are strengthening Missouri’s workforce and helping businesses compete in the global marketplace.

The Governor will also tour the company’s new packaging and distribution warehouse, part of a $79 million investment announced last year.

Earlier this year, Gov. Nixon launched Missouri Works, which updates and streamlines Missouri’s economic development and workforce training programs to make them more efficient, effective and business-friendly.
