Savannah’s Andrew County Museum & Historical Society has looked far and wide for a new curator. Melissa Swindel has accepted the position. A former staff member at the National Museum of American History at the Smithsonian Institution, Swindell earned a masters degree in American Studies from George Washington University. She is completing work on a second M. A. in Museum Studies at John Hopkins University.

The museum, at 202 East Duncan Drive, is open Tuesday thru Saturday 10 a.m. -4 p.m.
