New Kansas-Missouri Border conflict web site

The Kansas Historical Society recently contributed more than 1,600 images from its archival collections to Civil War on the Western Border, a website that explores the Kansas-Missouri border conflict 1854 – 1865.

The site was created through a collaborative effort of libraries, museums, and historical societies in Kansas and Missouri. The Historical Society images include

photographs, maps, journals, and government documents from the territorial Kansas and Civil War periods. Civil War on the Western Border will be maintained by the Kansas City Public Library.
