Kansas Farm Bureau President Steve Baccus welcomed the news Congress has reached agreement on a plan to reopen the federal government.

“I hope Congress will now concentrate on the expired farm bill, immigration reform, our nation’s waterways and tax reform,” Baccus, an Ottawa County grain farmer, said. “Kansas farmers and ranchers demand a committed, bipartisan effort to create a sustainable budget, resolve debt issues, reform the tax code and put the nation on a path for growth.”
