Sandy Hatte, 60, was arrested and charged with felony child abduction last month after school officials noticed some problems with the victim’s enrollment.
Hatte pleaded guilty Wednesday to a reduced charge of interference with custody, a class-a misdemeanor.
Circuit Judge Adam Warren suspended sentence and put Hatte on probation for two years. Hatte will serve 30 days shock time. The judge gave her credit for time served.
The child has been reunited with his father who has been searching for the youth for about 13 years. Hatte is the father’s mother.
