The Kansas Highway Patrol investigated two accidents Sunday involving people hit by cars after their vehicle was disabled in accidents on interstate highways.
Travis Sanders of Lawrence was killed after his car crash hit a deer on I-35 in Osage County. He exited his vehicle and was hit by another motorist.
A Manhattan woman was killed after a similar crash on I-70. The Patrol’s crash report indicates Dale Williams exited her vehicle after an accident on I-70. Another motorist hit Williams’ car and then hit Williams.
