Northbound traffic on I-29 south of St Joseph will be impacted by asphalt repairs planned Friday.
Contractor crews will close the passing lane of northbound I-29 at mile marker 39 near Pigeon Hill Road. Once the work at that location is complete, they will move north to the next location.
According to the Missouri Department of Transportation, they will continue moving northward throughout the morning with the work ending near the southern junction of I-229 and I-29 at Exit 43.
At times, either the passing lane or the driving lane will be closed, but one lane will remain open at all times. The project should be completed by early afternoon. All work is weather permitting.
