The Missouri State Highway Patrol has identified the truck driver killed in a single-vehicle accident on I-29 Friday morning.

A crash report indicates that Eric Gouin, 40, of Norfolk, Nebraska was killed when his International tractor-trailer veered of the interstate and rammed into a tree.

Officers diverted traffic at Faucett for about two hours as emergency crews investigated the accident. Authorities believe a shifting load inside the trailer may have been a contributing factor.
