Livingston County Sheriff’s officers had everything they needed to make a domestic violence case. Everything, that is, except a victim. Or, a suspect.

Sheriff Steve Cox tells us they responded to the call in Dawn, Missouri Monday morning. He says deputies could not get an answer at the door, but noticed through the windows that some items were turned over and a disturbance had taken place.

Deputies entered the home and found what is believed to be blood inside.

A bedroom door was locked and no one would answer, so he says they made forced entry into that room as well. Cox says they found additional evidence inside, but that no one was home.

Cox says the investigation continues. They are questioning one person and are still seeking the possible victim.
