Fire caused about $70,000 damage to an apartment building in the 1600 block of Francis Monday night.
Fire Inspector Steve Henrichson tells us only one unit was occupied. The American Red Cross was called in to help out one resident.
Henrichson says the fire started in a vacant, secured apartment. He has not yet determined the cause of the blaze which caused extensive damage throughout. Henrichson says the structure is located within a local historic district.
Two firefighters were injured putting out the fire. Both have returned to work.
