W. Forrest Thompson 86, of Saint Joseph, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2013 in a Saint Joseph, MO hospital. He was born May 21, 1927 in St. Joseph, MO, son of Maude and William Thompson. He married Ruth Bosch on June 5, 1948, and she survives of the home. He served in the Navy and is a veteran of the World War II. He owned and operated Thompson TV repair service. He enjoyed reading, tinkering with electonics, going to auctions, and was a member of Unity Church. Forrest was preceded in death by his parents, and a daughter, Nancy Thompson. Survivors include, wife, Ruth Thompson of the home, a son, Wayne Thompson and wife Maria of St. Louis, MO, two daughters, Leslie Brooks of St. Joseph, MO, and Glenda Thompson of St. Joseph, MO, four granddaughters; Carmen (Stephen) Schmidt, Susana (Andy) Spies, Marisa (Brian) Westbrook, and Hannah (Richie) Sloan.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am, on Friday, November 15, 2013 at Rupp Funeral Home, with Rev. James Barnett officiating, The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Friday at the Rupp Funeral Home. The Interment will be at the Memorial Park Cemetery .
