H. Fay Boner, 95, Lee’s Summit, Missouri died Thursday, November 14, 2013 at The Carlyle Retirement Community Center in Lee’s Summit, Missouri.
She was born November 21, 1917 to Stanley and Rose (Grebe) Oliver in Montgomery City, Missouri.
She married Claude C. Boner on February 10, 1940. He preceded her in death on December 30, 2001.
Fay graduated from Kansas University with a Master’s of Science in Deaf Education. She retired from the North Kansas City School District in 1984 and was awarded the Outstanding Teacher of the Year Wards in 1985. She was a member of 1st Baptist Church in St. Joseph, Missouri, Missouri Teacher’s Association and POE.
Mrs. Boner was an avid reader who also enjoyed music, gardening, and loved traveling, especially to the Rocky Mountains.
She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Sterling Oliver, Nita Hildreth, Stanley Oliver, Jr., and Cecil Oliver.
Survivors: two daughters, Judy Ann Tuck (Rogers) and Nancy Lynn Gross (Gary); two grandsons, Jason Robert Tuck (Kimmie) and Jacob Randall Tuck (Jenny); seven great-grandchildren, Samantha Tuck, Dayton Tuck, Sheldon Tuck, Brant Tuck, Walker Tuck, Rolin Tuck, and Audrey Tuck; sister-in-law, Marjorie Nold Oliver Miller; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services: 10:00 A.M. Monday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Ashland Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
