St Joseph police will join law officers across the country in cracking down on drunk driving during winter holiday season.
The crackdown, which will include high-visibility enforcement throughout St. Joseph, will run from December 2013 through January 2014 and will be supported by national paid advertising, creating a comprehensive campaign to curb drunk driving over the winter holidays.
Although it is illegal in all 50 States, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico to drive impaired far too many people across the nation get behind the wheel after consuming too much alcohol. Officers of the St. Joseph Police Department will be aggressively looking for drunk drivers during the crackdown and will arrest anyone caught driving impaired. No warnings, no excuses.
From mid-December through New Year’s Day, local police will be out in force looking for impaired drivers.
