Betty Jean Weidmaier, 85, St. Joseph, Missouri died Sunday, December 1, 2013 at Heartland Regional Medical Center.
She was born December 16, 1927 to Hiram and Agnes (Bashinski) Barnett.
Betty married Arthur Henry Weidmaier on February 26, 1949.
She worked at Westab before getting married, and then went home to raise a family.
Mrs. Weidmaier was a member of the St. Joseph Cathedral Catholic Church, a former member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church and St. Patrick Altar Society. She was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 571 Ladies Auxiliary and Chapel of the Holy Rosary at Mir House of Prayer.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; infant daughter, Janet; infant grandson, David Scott; and brother, William Barnett.
Survivors: Sons, David (Kenetha), John (Sandy), Dan (Connie), all of St. Joseph, Missouri, Richard (Jeanne), Wathena, Kansas, and Mark (Patty), Kansas City; daughters, Lisa Puett (Earl) of the home and Diane Kuenne (Jeff), Imperial, Nebraska; grandchildren, Laura, Jeffrey, Eric, Evan, Thomas, Annelise, Claire, and William; step-grandchildren, Courtney and Andrew; and step-great-grandson, Brennon.
Mass of Christian Burial: 10:00 A.M. Thursday, St. Joseph Cathedral. Interment Mount Olivet Cemetery. Parish Rosary 6:00 P.M. Wednesday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. The family will receive friends 6:30 to 8:30 P.M. Wednesday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory, where friends may call after 5:00 P.M. Wednesday.
