Lonnie K. Wooten, Jr., 37, Kansas City, Missouri died Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at University of Kansas Medical Center.
He was born October 2, 1976 to Lonnie and Nancy (Garbe) Wooten in St. Joseph, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his father; sister, Lillie M. Wooten; paternal grandfather, William Turner; and maternal grandparents, Ralph and Elva Garbe.
Survivors: mother; sisters, Leatta I. Wooten and Theresa K. Wooten; grandmother, Irene Turner; five nieces; two nephews; one great-niece; numerous cousins; and many close friends.
Lonnie was employed for several years in the KC metro area by a local restaurateur, and successfully managed several businesses. His family would like to thank his generous employer, the University of Kansas Cancer Center, and his numerous friends for the support they provided during his illness.
Lonnie was an avid sports fan, especially of the Royals, Chiefs and MU Tigers. He was a good friend and always there when you needed him – we will miss his great attitude and conversation.
