Jessie Lee (Beers) Pierce 84, of St. Joseph, passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2013 in a St. Joseph health care center.
She was born November 17, 1929 in Trenton, Mo. The daughter of Ortha and Raymond Alderson. She retired from the State Hospital as a Nurse’s Aid. She enjoyed playing Bingo, was a member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary # 6760 and a Baptist.
Jessie was preceded in death by her first husband, Harold Beers; second husband, Willard Pierce; her parents; a son, Ricky Foster; sister, Mae Marie; Mang, and a brother, Frank Alderson. Survivors include, daughter, Connie Welter and husband Dennis, and son, LeeRoy Foster, a step-son, Roy Beers, step-daughter, Joy Hodges all of St. Joseph; a sister, Leona Keuhn of Trenton; five grandchildren, Tracy Steltenpohl, Leslie Wilson, Dakota Summers, Shelly Cady and Tracy Welter; and 11 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m., on Monday, December 16 at the Rupp Funeral Home. Pastor Rob Diamond will be officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m., on Monday at Rupp Funeral Home.
