John “Big Bad” Lee Stinnett, 62, of Amazonia, Mo., passed away Thursday, December 12, 2013 in Savannah, Mo. He was born July 24, 1951 in Amazonia, son of Mary and Elbert Stinnett. He attended Savannah High School. He worked at Western Fireproofing, Kansas City, Mo., for many years. He enjoyed fishing, drinking Budweiser Beer, road trips and the St. Louis Cardinals baseball.
John was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Vance Stinnett.
Survivors include, six sisters, Ruthie Haynes of Savannah; Nancy (Harold) Rehagen of Amazonia; Judy (David) Welter of Saint Joseph; Jane Hubbard of Savannah; Gwen (Russell) Leslie of Rockdale, Texas; and Melinda Stinnett of Amazonia; sister-in-law, Joannia Stinnett of Kincaid, Kan.; 19 nieces and nephews; and 34 great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m., on Tuesday, December 17, with Rev. Albert Shirley officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., on Monday at Rupp Funeral Home.
