Home sales in the St Joseph area continue to increase, but last month’s figures show a dip in the value of those homes.

According to the latest numbers from the St Joseph Regional Association of Realtors, there were 69 residential units sold during the month of November, bringing the year-to-date total to 1,149 homes sold.

That’s an increse of 11.12% over the total at this time last year.

The homes sold for just over $6.8 million, compared to over $12 million in sales in November of 2012, a decrease of more than 43%.

Transactions thus far this year have totalled just under $131 million, compaired to more than $115 million last year at this time. That’s an increase of more than 13%.
