The father of a seven-year-old boy caught with a loaded handgun at Lindbergh Elementary School has now been charged with unlawful possession of a firearm.

St Joseph police arrested 29-year-old James Mueller on what was described as an outstanding warrant Tuesday as they escorted the young boy home.

A judge set bond at 20-thousand dollars pending Mueller’s next court appearance December 24th.

The youngster was seen showing off the loaded weapon on Tuesday. Officials say there were no threats, no shots fired, and no injuries.
