ST. JOSEPH – Mary Louise King, 79, passed away Sunday, December 22, 2013 in a St. Joseph, health care center. She was born February 22, 1934 in Maryville, Mo. Mary is the daughter of Janie and James Allen. She Married Arlen Luther King on November 27, 1958 in St. Joseph, and he precedes her in death.
She worked at the Missouri Methodist Hospital and CD Smith Drug as a Switchboard Operator. She was a member of King Hill Baptist Church.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brother, J.W. Allen; and sister, Dorothy Lowery.
Survivors include, her son, David King and wife Gina of Romeoville, Ill.; daughter, Diane Kretzer and husband Dallas of St. Joseph; a sister, Virginia Gill of Chillicothe, Ill.; and two granddaughters Lauren and Jillian King.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m., on Thursday, December 26, 2013 at Rupp Funeral Home, with Pastor Greg Dixon officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m., on Thursday at the Rupp Funeral Home. The Inurnment will be at the Oak Grove Cemetery. Memorials are requested to the King Hill Baptist Church.
