AFL-CIO Community Services in St Joseph is offering its thanks for making  Christmas better for  866 families in Northwest Missouri and northeastern Kansas.

Executive Director Penny Adams says all of the families in the group’s “Adopt-a-Family Christmas Program” have been adopted .

Adams said they expected to open Tuesday until about noon to handle any issues that might pop up.
