St. Joseph man injured in Saturday night crash

Missouri Highway Patrol  MHPA driver from St. Joseph is recovering from injuries received in a Saturday night Interstate crash.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol both twenty-three year old Cody M. Grove of Country Club Village in a 2003 Jeep Liberty and fifty-one year old Jamie L. Embrey of St. Joseph in a 1998 Buick Riviera were traveling north on I-29 Saturday night.

The Jeep rear-ended the Buick at a high rate of speed. Both vehicles were driven to a controlled stop on the outside shoulder of the highway.  Embrey was transported to Heartland Regional Medical Center. He was wearing a seat belt. Grove was not injured.
